LitJoy Crate’s ‘Secrets and Shadows’ box…

I can’t help but look at sneak peeks when LitJoy Crate release them and so I knew (very roughly) what was going to be included in their September ‘Secrets and Shadows’ box. I was intrigued to see what items they would include for this month as I imagine it was a hard theme. How do you represent shadows and secrets? Well, like this.

Included was:

• Harry Potter Patronus infinity scarf. Design by Digit Dreams

• Children of Blood and Bone, Zélie art print. By Jo Painter

• Tale of the Three Brothers tote bag. Design by Eden Cooke

• Set of 6 tea lights

• Karou & Zuzana trading cards. Art by Gabriella Bujdoso

• Signed edition of For A Muse of Fire by Heidi Heilig. This edition includes an author letter inside and the dust jacket is reversible, artwork by Nan Fe.

The team at LitJoy are pretty Harry Potter obsessed (in the best way) and this month they have managed to sneak in two items from that fandom. I find the tote bag kinda creepy and I’m not sure if it’s my style or taste but… I really like the infinity scarf! Each patronus is different and the quality is of a fine make. Plus it works incredibly well with the theme. I’m not sure why the Zélie print was chosen as I haven’t yet read Children of Blood and Bone so I’ll have to uncover that secret at some point. The trading cards give me life and I’m in awe of the art each month that I receive more. I enjoyed Karou as a character in A Daughter of Smoke and Bone so I’m beyond happy to add these two cards to my growing collection. Last but not least, the book. I haven’t heard much about it (only seen pictures of it here or there) but the premise sounds interesting. Click here for its Goodreads page. Also, that reversible cover is simply stunning. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a spine that breath taking.

Items listed above are pictured below.
