March Wrap Up…

Read:

March started out pretty average and boring but I’m happy to say that it picked up quickly and the 5 star momentum hardly let up. The books that stand out the most for me are: Blood and Sand, A Conjuring of Light and Daughter of the Siren Queen. Each are vastly different to each other but they all kept me on the cusp of being out of breath. The Novice and Fairytale are on my ‘do they deserve the shelf space?’ list. I can’t see myself reading them again so I’ve put them to the side to review for charity at a later date.

The Novice – Taran Matharu – Gold_Star_PNG_Transparent_Clip_Art_ImageGold_Star_PNG_Transparent_Clip_Art_ImageGold_Star_PNG_Transparent_Clip_Art_Imagehalf star

Haul:

Depending on how you look at it, March was either a very good month or a very bad one. It has to be said though, that this was my birthday month and it was Mother’s Day here in England. Of course I received plenty of book gift cards, hence why I have acquired so many this month. Five of these books are ones through subscriptions and one is a NetGalley ARC so I guess it wasn’t too bad a month. I’m looking forward to reading many of these but mostly The Wicked Deep and The Smoke Thieves.

A Gathering of Shadows – V.E. Schwab (French Edition)

The City of Brass – S.A. Chakraborty

The Wicked Deep – Shea Ernshaw

The Beast Player – Nahoko Uehashi

Children of Blood and Bone – Tomi Adeyemi (Waterstones Edition)

To Kill A Kingdom – Alexandra Christo

Heart of Iron – Ashley Poston (Owlcrate Edition)

Blood and Sand – C.V. Wyk

The Smoke Thieves (ARC) – Sally Green

Daughter of the Siren Queen – Tricia Levenseller

State of Sorrow – Melinda Salisbury

The Accidental Bad Girl (ebook) – Maxine Kaplan

April TBR:

April is a busy month for reading. I’m anticipating a VERY busy month for May (lots of preorders that I am desperate to read as soon as they come out) and so I’m trying to squeeze in as much of my TBR into April’s goal. Usually I only have about four must read books for the month, that way I have a little room for an extras that swing my way through subscriptions. However, this month I have six. The Prophecy was requested from Book Bridgr who are waiting on a review for it and I’ve got King’s Cage to read in anticipation for the finale in May.

The Smoke Thieves (ARC) – Sally Green

The Prophecy – Jennifer L. Armentrout

Days of Blood and Starlight – Laini Taylor

King’s Cage – Victoria Aveyard

To Kill A Kingdom – Alexandra Christo

Heart of Iron – Ashley Poston
